Static routes are not working on ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98
Description
Possibly due to a bug in the latest firmware versions, static routes are not working on ASUS when using firmware 3.0.0.6.102_34372-gb0fcfc4_620-gaf023_BA08 (might be relevant for other firmware versions as well) when "Primary WAN" is set to "WAN Auto Detection" on the WAN --> Dual WAN page.
The Static Routes feature allows you to add static routing rules into GT-BE98. It is useful if you connect several routers behind GT-BE98 to share the same connection to the Internet.
Solution
The workaround is to change the "Primary WAN" to either "10G WAN" or "2.5 WAN/LAN1" on the WAN - Dual WAN page.
Another workaround would be to SSH into the router and issuing a route add command, i.e. "route add -net 192.168.2.0/255.255.255.255 gw 192.168.1.1" if you want to route 192.168.2.0/24 subnet via 192,168.1.1. Note that this command won't survive a router reboot.
Also, make sure "Enable static routes" is set to "Yes" on the LAN --> Route page.
