Invalid Route header: mismatched character: expected: "", found: "EOF" (event 1021)
Description
After upgrading to Exchange 2010 SP1, you get the following error and voicemail isn't working with Cisco Call Manager:
Event ID: 1021
The Unified Messaging server rejected an incoming call with the ID whatever@IP. Reason: "Invalid Route header: mismatched character: expected: "", found: "EOF""
Solution
This is a by design "feature" of SP1. You need to make sure the Altering Name/ASCII Altering Name on the cisco side do not contain invalid characters like quotes or commas.
